The ongoing cooperation with Sharif University of Technology in the past years,
especially the key role of it’s faculty for launching the MBA degree program and
structuring MAU’s organization, has created a positive environment for further collaboration.
In this light, in the last meeting between MAU’s Board of Trustees Chairman and
Dr. Sohrabpour, President of SUT, both sides signaled their readiness to sign a
MOU between the two institutes where collaboration in the field of e-learning is
expanded. Based on this MOU, the evaluation of joint degree programs with foreign
universities will be the responsibility of SUT while MAU will assist in the execution
of SUT’s e-learning programs.
Memorandum of Understanding This MOU is between
the following parties
Sharif University of Technology has a leading reputation internationally
and is one of the most successful universities both in the cultural and academic arena
of Iran’s higher education sector. Sharif University of Technology is represented
by by Dr. Sohrabpour and is hereinafter called SUT.
AND
Mehr Alborz University is Iran’s first non-governmental virtual university and maintains
extensive experience in the field of ICT education, learning portal management,
and the execution of joint degree programs with international universities. Mehr
Alborz University is represented by Dr. Kharrazi and is hereinafter called MAU.
The entities listed above may collectively be referred
to as the parties to this MOU.
The purpose of this MOU is to document a framework of cooperation based on
the regulations of the Ministry of Science, Research, and Technolgy (MSRT).
I. Supervision of virtual degree programs that are executed jointly by MAU and international
universities, under the guidelines of MSRT, are under the responsibility of SUT.
Financial and legal obligation of each program will be jointly discussed and agreed
upon.
II. SUT is responsible for designing degree programs and short courses based on
e-learning with the aim of preparing quality standards and learning objectives.
III. SUT cab benefit from the expertise of MAU in creating digital content for its
programs. The legal owner of all digital content that has been created with the
collaboration of MAU is of both parties.
IV. SUT, in line with its expansion plans can benefit from the academic, international,
marketing, and financial capacity of MAU as a non-governmental entity based on this
MOU and future agreements.
V. Dr. Rabiee from SUT and Dr. Kermanshah from MAU are introduced to prepare a timeline
and execution plan of the articles of this MOU.
